I need some zoa help please...

PPE started to mushroom like this....does anyone know what causes the mushrooming??? i have had some hawaiian ding dangs do this and then it looked like a hourglass where it would be super thing near the top of the stalk and then just die off.........anyone know what i shoul do or whats causing it.

its not a zoa it's a polyp and that would be a typical reaction to stress for most PE style polyps. many things can cause it to be stressed. flow, irritations from critters like crabs or snails, moving it around too much, among a few to list. its normal and should return to its normal state in time, couple days or so. i have had many recover fine and a few that did haven't. make sure it's getting some good flow not too much and if new, leave low and it should recover fine with time.
