I was browsing through aquarium specialty's livestock and I came across this mille!!..:dribble:.
reefexoticWMM.jpg

I contacted them and they told me it was no longer available but they could try to contact their suppliers... that was a while ago. Anybody know who has this millepora?? I think it's called watermelon mille and might have originated from reefexotic bc that's what the pic was named but....it's not on their site! I want a frag badly, anyone have this coral or pics? know where I could find one? thanks

hi ricardo! ..
i dont think my husband has that millie, bt he has this one, I dont know much about millies but i think this one is very nice!

Ok.. thanks...1smile1 have you seen it? is it remotely as bright? or does this pic seem exaggerated?

so people anyone got any pics of their rommel's acro?

yeah he still has it, he got it a lil over a year at baymac, it is very nice, that picture is not photoshopped, just came out like that, btw pic was taken under MH 24k..

hey zoagirl......

I'm not the mille expert either but the green rim matched with green polyps on that one blew me away!

and that is a very nice one also... I like how the green and red mix randomly!!

that watermelon one is nice looking! ..hope you find it!1smile1 and save me a frag when u have a nice colony:tongue:

I think it looks to good to be true ... maybe one of those super shots that make a coral appear more than it really is. :doubt: It seemed rare to me that a mille would have a rim on the base kind of like a chalice and that's kind of why it looked so cool... but I've never seen anything like that so...

I googled rommels acro... found many different ones, none of which resembled the first pic...

but btw liz I think that one you posted could be in fact the rommel's rainbow acro:bigsmile:... I found this pic which had some resemblance to the one you posted it's from rommel's ultimate collection

Looks alot like the tierra de fuego..

Okay just realized something it can't be the rommel's watermelon mille bc it has red polyps and green base... the Mille in question has green polyps and pink base! and indeed reefexotic describes it, " Pink Body with Green Growth Rings and Green Polyps"!! so does anyone have this acro from them?

thanks yoshi I skimmed through they're site and missed it!!

I have both red planet and tiera de fuego. Completely different acros..
But that watermelon mille, now that I looked again, is alot different than the fuego..

call me crazy... but does that look more like a monti than a mille? Everything about that looks like a monti to me.

Ya millie typically have two polyp types, the normal shaped ones and then the long stringy one.

Regardless it's an awesome piece.
