Hello, I want to build a new large mixed reef tank, 300gallon (106x27x24inch) / 1150Liters (270x70x60cm). Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

Stand will be made of 60/40 3mm steel with adjustable legs, any tips for how to "rust-proof" it? Also quite important is the fact that it would be displayed to a lot of people since it will be located at my family business and there will be a lot of kids seeing it so I am thinking of only doing a 90cm (~3 feet) high stand.

I already have 2 Evergrow it5012 lights for it which will be supplemented by 4 t5s (probably). I also have a sump laying around that I could use and a bubble magus curve 9 skimmer. I am thinking about 3 overflow pipes and one emergency drain pipe. I heard that a filter roller is a must for this size and plan to get one or even make one or two myself (3d printed). I also got about 300lbs of live rock and a lot of sand of different grains all the way up to crushed coral. Debating on the flow makers, i will maybe go with a few jebao pumps and one or 2 jebao gyres. I want to add a 82w uv so any recommendations help.

Really contemplating on glass width, I have a couple of choices: Either I go with 12mm glass which is cheaper and can go with the ultraclear variant on the 2 visible glass panes but I will be required to euro-brace it all around and probably get white hair in a few years or go with 15mm non-ultraclear glass that I would still eurobrace all around but it would be less stressful and more secure. I am from Europe and 15mm+ glass is painfully hard to find on stock.

Thanks

Planet aquariums do custom tanks all the time. I bought a second hand one off FB and it was custom

I am starting up a 1250L peninsula from Aqualife. Good service and quality finishing.
Mine is 15mm ultra clear.

I’m based in France, they are in Belgium.

I am quite far from Belgium ,but either way I want to do my own build. I do have an Aqualife store in my country but their offer is too expensive. I'm looking for tips on technicalities in building a diy system
