I seen this fella and I realized I have to find him haha but I have to know what I'm even looking for first! Can anyone help me identify this beautiful fish?

Yup. Paracheilinus rubricaudalis, they are usually available in shipments from Vanuatu.
 
Hope you have vey deep pockets.
 
They arent that terribly priced compared to some in their Genus. You will find a male for about $150. Sure its more expensive than mckoskers, flavianalis, and filamentosus, but not as expensive as attenuatus or bellae.
 
From what I have seen they were going for $1500. Where did you find them at that price?
 
Live Aquaria regularly has them on Divers Den at that price. My LFS also sells them for that price when they get them.
 
$150ish is on point.

If you're finding one at $1500, you're looking at a different species...


It's also worth noting for the OP that photo is an EXCEPTIONAL example of the species. Most specimens of the species are not that yellow.
