I need to restock my tank

Too many fish hang out in the rocks all day. And I have a ton of rocks so that makes it worse.

Been there, done that. That's why when I upgraded I made sure to go for fish with much higher visibility (ie Coral Beauty Dwarf Angel, Wrasses, Foxface).

Yes, depending on the species. Not all species play well with other wrasses,. Use an acclimation box when introduiced

We found a nice group of 3 chalk basslets. They are active and hang out together. Have personality too. They stay small enough for 75. We have 93 cube with 3 of them and one wrasse, 2 clowns, a tomini, swallowtail angel, damsel, purple tang (sm) and a very small foxface. Here’s a picture with the basslets. I didnt think they were pretty at first but they have really grown on me and I like them a lot now.

Wrasses can definitely work with one another provided you stick with the generally peaceful varieties and try to avoid 2 of the same family together. For example, go with a flasher, a fairy, a halichoeres, possum/pink streaked as they are quite a bit different than each other. There are some different Fairys and Flashers that will coexist as well. That's one of the big appeals of wrasses is that there are so many different varieties that you can mix them together in the same tank and generally not have a problem. Just be sure you stick with the generally peaceful varieties.

For the record I have a Blue Star Leopard Wrasse and a Melanurus in my tank and although the Melanurus can be a jerk to the Leopard at times (ie feeding) they still coexist for the most part and the Leopard is one smart little bugger and still figures out how to get food when the melanurus is distracted.

I can get a melanurus locally so I might grab him. I need to build a better lid to contain them. My 6 line went carpet surfing.

Melarnurus can get aggressive with other wrasses, but mostly when they mature. If you plan on adding other peaceful wrasse (flasher), you might want to add them prior to a Melarnurus

Agreed with joec. You can add a Melanurus, but be sure it's last. I have seen first hand how aggressive they can be to other wrasses once established. Mine was an unholy terror to my Leopard for the first couple of weeks it was in the tank and can still be a pain at feeding time. Good thing my Leopard knows how to deal with it.

Choosing fish is hard when you have a "small" tank.

It is kind of funny when you talk to freshwater folks and they talk about having a "big" 55-75 gallon tank. I have a 90 gallon and I consider it to be on the larger side of the medium spectrum for a saltwater setup.
