I need to vent....FEDEX sucks!!!

this is the first time I have has something shipped to me thru fedex. UPS,USPS I have had stuff shipped to me alot....never had a problem....the only thing that angers me is that in 4 working days that box is still sittin at the drop off location when it was to be here in 2 days. the guy even paid extra for the 2 day shipping.

well guys looks like all is lost..at least as far as me getting the package...fedex called and after they ran the tracer to find out were the package was..they still can't find it and given the contents of the box if it is found it will be thrown away...hope the guy makes it up to me...he seems like a stand up guy. I will keep you updated

mike

fedex still has no clue were the package is. but the guy I traded with has already sent out another shipment but with ups this time. He filed a claim for $75. told them to send it to me and sent out another box of mystery zoas. he said I would really like them and should be very happy. there is supposed to be a fully colony of CAT EYES in that box with around 60-70 maybe more. I can't wait to get my hands on it to see. either way He is a stand up guy. with the coral that was lost and the coral he sent plus all the shipping charges he said he could have b ought the ballast new but wanted to make sure i was happy. He recieved his ballast today and was very happy.

I forgot about this thread...so I will tell you guys what happened...fedex found the package a week and a half after it was dropped off to be ship still in the drop off location. they would not refund any money and thru the package away...so they still suck!!!!!!

I love how they aren't respsonsible for damaging a shipment that is insured. Looks like they are headed the same direction as the "I'm entitled to whatever I want and you're gonna give it to me and I'm not going to work for it" rest of the country.

well ups sucks droped them for bad customer service and many lost packages or delays so I think Fedx is the lessor evil at least I get a real person if theres a problem lol.

Oh, I still use Fed Ex, but I'll never understand how they can destroy a box in transit, bring it to my door dripping water and already working on a claim when I opened the door because she knew the box was destroyed. 6 bags with no water. They say it's not their responsibility and they won't even refund shipping costs. I've known people that work at Fd Ex in Memphis and the consistent response to handling is that if it says fragile, they are tossing it across the room anytime they get a chance. Basically, if it is a marine animal, they are not responsible for what their people do to it in transit...

I have used USPS, UPS and FedEx for shipping coral. I typically ship about 1-5 boxes of coral per week and leave it up to the buyer on the service that they want to use. As we all know the price diffence between them are drastic!
I must say, if the seller or buyer takes the time to see if USPS offers one day shipping between the two locations and USPS does offer one day, they are the best. I mainly use USPS 98 percent of the time and UPS about 2 percent of the time. Compared to the percentage of shipping between the two USPS is MUCH better than the other, in my opinion.
USPS does not have the best Customer Service but then again out of thousand of boxes that have been shipped by me I think I have called Customer Service 2 times. To me that shows that there Shipping Service is great.

For me USPS sucks big time. I'd say about 20 percent of coral I've shipped with USPS actually arives on time. The only thing I will ship via USPS now are zoanthids.

I use usps only if i know they will deliver to the location overnight. Other wise fedex. I hate getting package with ups as i work everyday and i'm never home and ups do not leave packages at the door no matter if i leave a note on the door. So fedex for me as they leave my package at the door and when i see that it's delivered on the computer i jet home to put the corals in the quarantine.

I had a 500.00 order get lost by UPS they took from the house but said it never got scanned so it never existed lol we had to give the client a 500.00 coupon luckily but we still lost out pretty big.But to answer your Q yes you have to or you wont be around long it wasn there fault.
