I need two more fish for my 78 gallon

I would like everyone's opinion. I currently think my fish load is low, but I would also like to know if I am adding too many. First tank was a Red Sea, had it for 2 years and now everything has been moved over so I guess that means it is established. All the fish look healthy and are eating.

I was thinking about adding a Jawfish that I have been watching for a few weeks at a local fish shop, I have seen him eat and he looks healthy. I would like to add one more fish past the jawfish and would love a colorful fish with personality. After adding two more, if that is not too much, I am done. I do not want to risk anything past these last additions. Any thoughts on the an addition other than the Jawfish?

Depending on how aggressive that 6 line is I would suggest a fairy or flasher wrasse.

The problem is, you already have one of the more aggressive wrasses, a damsel ( can pick on smaller fish), and a pair of clowns( can be territorial. You need a fish that stays out of the way, or doesnt share a type with one of the three above, or is bigger.

Even a different genus of wrasse isn’t going to be ignored by a Six Line, they’re called the Devils Spawn for a reason…

The reason I have an empty spot is our Royal Gramma got sick after the tank exploded. They all lived together for 2 years with no issues.

You’d be surprised, a RG and Sixline can combat eachother with aggression but anything new will be at risk from the Six.

How about a dwarf Angel or two?
I don’t have any dwarfs currently but my favourite one is the Multicolour.

In my mixed reef I do have angels but they’re the medium species and I’d aim for a 4’x2’ (floor space) tank minimum if you ever decide on one of these. Or if you plan to upgrade you could grab a juvenile and start it in this tank.
Here’s my two, Ikea and Walmart (Yes I’ve named them after shops… because why not).

If you don't have fleshy lps like micromussa, blastomussa, acanthophyllia, plenty of dwarf angels to pick from. I do agree on the red sea regal angelfish. Strikingly beautiful in person.

Flamehawks are awesome with very unique characteristics compared to many other fish we keep.

There's so many fairy/flasher wrasses to name and pick from. But, it all comes down to how well that 6 line accepts new tank additions.

Likely a bad idea with your current stock being more towards the aggressive side.

Unfortunately I’m maxed out in stocking for now, if my wrasses pass then I may grab a Dwarf to put in the mix as I do like them a lot.

That is if I even want to add more fish later down the line as I have some large growing fish currently.
