I’ve been reefing for two years and had a bunch of corals during my time but I’ve never seen aptasia in my tank. Started off with all dry rocks .

i don’t quarantine any of my corals and I don’t have a specific vendor

Am I lucky ? Or is there other people out there that doesn’t have it either

My tank is maxed out with corals and lucky enough I don’t have any.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve seen one or two come on, but they eventually disappeared (something must have eaten them) with no trace well over a year later. Probably a bit of luck mixed in with where they are bought.

this is my tank

I’ve bought from LFS that I’ve seen with aptasia in the coral tank .

Made it 2 1/2yr Aiptasia free. Then... Picked up a Zoa colony from what I thought was a decent LFS. Hidden in there was the pesky Aiptasia. Been fighting it ever since. Buy from reputable coral houses, LFS with clean tanks. Even if the piece you want looks clean, a tinny one or eggs could be there in wait. Ever since if I see even one tinny Aiptasia in the tank I wont buy that piece I really wanted. In a nutshell... Sooner or later it can show up. Quarantine tank all inbound corals, especially Zoas and Palys.
