I never knew how funny it would sound to hear some of the things we say in the hobby...
-Ive been doing this professionally for over 20 years and have gotten used to the lingo...
-a sales lady came in the other day while I was on the phone with someone looking for clownfish and an anemone...
-all she heard was:
" sure, we have trained clowns playing in them right now"...
-at this point she started to look around...
I remember saying that the female was big and the male was tiny...
- I went on and finally got off the phone, by this point she was confused...
-she said:
" I cant believe what you said, It sounded so serious though"
( i didnt realize she didnt understand the terminology)
and I said:
" Oh, Im very serious about this, Its the only way to have success..."
"Ive been doing this for a ng time, and thats how it works..."
-she look even more confused and said:
" so where are the trained clowns at???"
( i didnt realize she STILL didnt understand the terminology)
as I walked over to the tank that has the tank raised perculas playing in an anemone... ... .. It hit me... and with a big grin I turned around and said "ClownFISH"... "Playing in their anemone"..
