I.O reef crystals

Just mixed a fresh 40 gallons of a new bucket of reef crystals, it has been having more brown crap in it the past few years?!

I have found it does have more "tint" than some other mixes.

i always run a sediment filter on it over night, then pass it thru a new one before it goes to the tank.

but it seem dirtier since covid attacked the reefing industry !

Yes it is tinted than the other brands.

that was 2 min old it will look good in a few days after a little polishing. i need to test the mag, whats better than saliferts mag test ? im at about 1500 with salifert test

Normal 2 days of running 1 micron sediment filter on 40 gallons of 1.026 r.c but it comes out so clean and clear its worth the extra step

Mine always mixes clear.

Mine mixes clear if you are willing to ignore that brown sludge in the bottom of the container...but the water itself is clear.

I had a batch that mixed dirty like that. My current batch mixes clear.

I found this to be a problem with RC as well. I switched to regular instant ocean and definitely seems to to have less brown crud.
