I OVERDOSED MY TANK WITH KALKWASSER

I just overdosed my tank and don’t know what to do I accidentally dumped about 2 tablespoons into my 20 gallon aquarium I did a water change but don’t have enough for a full water change I am currently running my RO also my blenny I found laying on the substrate breathing heavily so I put him into a bucket of clean saltwater with a air stone. Till I can do a full water change what do I do and what can I do to help my blenny?

Can you explain how you overdosed the tank? You added 2 tablespoons of diluted Kalk solution? Kalk paste? Kalk powder? How do you normally dose?

Everything is back to a stable state now after a 100% water change the corals still look bad but I put a 2 tablespoons in RO water and I intended to add it incrementally but then I accidentally dropped it all into the tank.

Oh I already did a 100% water change but everything is looking better

It doesn’t hurt to do it, it’s just often not necessary. Glad things are looking good.

That seems like a awful lot for a 20 gallon tank.. I mix 2 table spoons in 3 gallons of r.o. Water to top off over a week with Sps… I would get some good test kit to watch your alk and ph.

I did a 100% water change everything is fine yeah it was probably too much
