I saw what appears to be hair algae flowing from the end of my return pipes...should I be concerned? I have heard horror stories and seen pics of tanks overtaken by this unsightly algae...should I wipe it off?...or just let it be...???

It's very normal to have algae grow in high flow areas like that. I routinely remove it. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it.

I'd take of that right away. I've no algae growing out of any of my returns anywhere. Do you have a phosphate reading?

Thanks guys...I will test phosphate tonight...I have a light bio-load, so I think they will be in range.
