I screwed up and now I have ich...

Well... long story short I had to catch my yellow tang. It took 2 hrs to catch him and I think I stressed my anthias to the point where they contacted ich and now my chromis have contracted it also. Its a 90 gallon with a 30 sump. It also has quite a bit of LR. What are my options? I really don't think I'll be able to catch the fish as they hide anytime I get near the tank. As for inverts I have a few crabs, snails and a starfish and I also plan to turn this tank into a reef... I also do have a uv sterilizer, but only rated up to 50 gallons I believe.

Unless you're planning to completely eradicate ich from your tank, there's not much you can do but keep stress levels low by keeping your hands out of the tank. Feed them well and just wait.

In my opinion... try to boost their immune system as best as possible... seldom, live foods etc. My other suggestion would buy an overkill IF. That's what I did and it could be a coincidence but seems to help whenever I see a spec on my hippo tang.

Yes, run the UV as recommended for parasites. If you can't take the fish out and leave the tank fallow this will help.

Catching the fish is a pain, but in my experience is necessary. Ich management has never worked in my favor and has always ended in big losses. I'm currently catching fish for the SECOND time with this tank ( I messed up somehow the first round), and honestly both times I've considered just living with it, but I remember my past catastrophes and it's enough for me to start setting traps.

And for what it's worth, I already run a UV sterilizer and feed live and vitamin-enriched foods, and the parasite infestation was still progressing in my tank :/

do it at night, after the lights have gone out for a few hours, and the room has been dark too. shine a flash light or phone LED light in their face and gently net them out. I just caught my cherub angel this way, but i didn't have to use the net. my hands were fine... that's how disoriented they are.

No, it will kill your inverts. Best to read the article @melypr1985 posted.

If possible, you need to QT all the fish, treat them and leave the tank fallow.
