I have a porcupine puffer, a picasso triggerfish, a beautiful wrasse, and 2 other mean fish. They are all aggressive but they get along. A Kessil light and a led strip. No live rock but lots of bio balls and a bio block in a 30 gallon sump, a bubble magus skimmer, a sock filter with a carbon bag and a phosphate bag. Got a vortech mp60 wave maker in a 110 gallon tall tank, it has 3 holes, one for the over flow and one for each water pump.
I noticed the leaking after I did a 25% water change. At first I thought it was leaking from where the plumbing is and there is drips coming from the over flow pipe but the water is streaming from under the tank stand and I’m scared the glass may be cracked. I got 2 big trash cans and filled them up with the water and put a pump in there to rotate water and my heater so it stays at 78 degrees and put all the fish in.
My question is.. will my fish be okay for a day or two until I figure this out? I tried taking out as much sand as a could but still can’t see a crack. I’m gonna have to move the tank from the stand and figure it out. If it’s just not sealed well and is leaking from where the plumbing is what’s a good aquarium safe silicone I can use to fix it? What’s the best way to check for leaks? Do I have to reseal the whole tank or just the bottom? Is it better for me to just buy a new tank? If so what’s a good place to buy it from?
Also if anyone has a 110 gallon tall tank for sale in Southern California or if shipping is reasonable, with over flow and two spots for pumps I’m interested.
