I pretty much lost all my fish - tangs, trigger, clowns - due to ich last time (late Nov 2021).

Then i let my DT go fallow for 45 days. Bought new fish and QT with CP. Over the last few days I have noticed white specs on the blue tang again in DT. They seemed come and go but today I could see a more number of "white dots". They somehow looked flushed to body and not raised like I saw last time.

Can see a few spots on the face of my coral beauty as well. This is really frustrating. I have attached some pics of the tang. What do you think ?

All fish are eating well and acting normal otherwise. I really don't want to lose any fish this time!

DT was above 24 celcius all the time. Bought copper power from vitamin grocer.

Agreed, 24 C. is too low of a temperature for a 45 days fallow period. The minimum temperature for that is 27 c.

How long did you treat with a full dose of copper power? That product is very mild to fish, but that also means it is slow to cure ich. I suggest 30 days at a full dose of 2.0 ppm. Some people even run it at 2.5 ppm.

I agree on temperature factor
At least 50 days fallow at 80.6 degrees and siphon surface of sand bi-weekly to remove any dead trophants and eggs
In at, when dots vanish during treatment, go another 72 hours to assure ich is fully gone
Presence of trophants existed in display why your hepatus has ich again
Sounds like a pain but worth the effort
