There is string like slime on the sand and rocks and on the back wall. The slime on the back wall is trapping bubbles. I just did my weekly 10% water change and tried to Hoover up the dinos but they just fell back on the sand, so I tried to get most out with a net. I haven’t touched the back wall as I have a snail and a sea urchin so was leaving it for them to feed on thinking it was normal algae.
What do I need to do?. I did a quick read and it said it can happen when there are low nutrients in the tank. I retested today and my phos is still zero but the nitrates are around 15. I recently buffered them kh with some baking soda mix so yesterday the kh was 9 but it continually drops and the mag and calcium are still on the lower side.
135l tank, nearly 4 months old, 2 clowns, 1 tuxedo urchin, 1 fire shrimp, 1 snail, 1 hermit. Rose BTA, 3 small coral frags.
