I think I am ready to start my cycle

OK here's the plan. I have a used 29g biocube with a fuge in the middle chamber.

I picked up dry pukani from BRS and did a bleach cure for 2 weeks and normal cure for 6 weeks after that. So today the rock has been curing for 8 weeks. Next I plan to get dry sand then move the rock and sand to my tank with new salt water.

I also want to order the Ultimate Refugium starter pack from Algae Barn. I will add the pods to the tank without any fish and let the tank run for another 6-8 weeks.

During this time should I feed the tank a few pellets? I want to be able to support a sand sifting goby as well as a 6-line wrasse so that is the main reason why I want to tank to be fishless for 6 weeks.

Sounds like a good plan so far. Consider dosing the tank with frozen cube instead of pellets. Put one or more for variety (seaweed, clams, etc.) in a tupperware container. Let it "slump" in the fridge. Will stay good for several days in the fridge. Feed a bit as you think best. I use a similar version (7-8 different types) to feed my DT and QT. But I also use this to help quickly cycle a new tank.
