Alright, in all my eagerness I think I messed up yesterday. I got a package of zoas in the mail and dropped them in my frag tank. The zoas included a nightmare, sticky punch, mohawks and 5 VDM (see my avatar thats one of them). Most of them were starting to open and look ok, except for the nightmare, it hadnt opened yet. I left came home and realized I forgot to turn off or at least raise my 150w 10k halide. Everything that was open was now shut.

They were probably exposed for an hour or two. Are they probably cooked or is there a good chance they will recover? Anything I can do at this point?

I agree. They'll probably come back if they're down low. Just a bright light scare to them.

You should always start out new corals low to get them acclimated to your light especially when they are shipped. With zoa's alot of people only run actinics the first day. Corals are stressed when shipped and putting them from dark to bright light doesnt help.

That was the plan. I was going to have the halide off all day and then raise it up the next day to get some more space between the halide and the water. I just got busy doing other stuff and the timer kicked it on. It seems like most are going to recover but the nightmare and VDM's are closed up tight.
