So I’ve read all about the difficulties of adding clowns to a tank with clowns already in it but I just had to try. My orange misbar ocellaris and my snowflake ocellaris have been paired for over a year and the orange is the dominant female of the entire tank and is even so aggressive she’s drawn blood on my hand a couple times. So I’ve always wanted 4 clowns in my 55 with sump and there was a sale on a black misbar ocellaris so I couldn’t resist. All 3 of them are different sizes so immediately both the orange and white started attacking the little black guy very bad so I jumped into action and caught them and put the orange in my refugium and the white in my pico. After 1 day I added the white male back to the tank and he swam up to the black guy real fast a few times but eventually just ignored him. I knew the orange was the real problem so after 6 days I finally added him back because I was afraid of the white changing sexes. So after all that it’s day 2 and there has been no aggression. Sure hope it stays that way.

Just before dark they hang out together in a corner. Sorry about the crappy blue photo from my iPhone.

Cool.

Hope it works out long term, clown fish are so weird and change behaviors with maturity.
