My tank is a 75 gallon fowlr. I have tested the water ammonia 0ppm-nitrite 0ppm-nitrates 20ppm-ph 8.0. My problem is something that looks like red slime algae keeps growing on the live rock. The only thing I can think that might be causing it is the old light bulbs. The light fixture was used so I have no idea how old the bulbs are. The light fixture is a aqulitclife G12 HID. Any help would be great Thanks.

Old bulbs can cause these issues. Also you need to make sure you have good flow throughout the tank no dead spots. Have you tested your phosphates? Most of the nuisance algae's are caused by excess nutrients. That means overfeeding your fish, corals adding trace elements etc.

Agree, with this probable cause.

They're gonna ask you for some pics. :)
I will have pics in the morning. Could it be my salt? I;m using reef crystals. When I had my 25 gallon tank I used instant ocean and never had any problems.

There are many products that clear up cyanobacteria however, you need to address the initial problem to prevent a comeback, which is usually high nutrient levels.
As Mike mentioned, make sure there are no dead spots in your flow areas.
Have multiple nutrient export devices such as a good skimmer, GFO, carbon, an algae scrubber.
Do weekly water changes.

Looks like red algae just not cyano. Wouldn't worry too much. Just get new lights. If you like the algae,, keep the lights. I had a tank with that red algae and just loved it.
