I think I may have a slight red planaria issue...

Having such a busy schedule with work I haven't been able to give my tank the love it deserves. After taking a closer look I've noticed what appears to be a SLIGHT infestation of red bugs.

It only appears to be in my sump for some reason. After looking over and over my acros I haven't been able to find a single one in the actual display.

Is this even red bug?

Are my wrasses keeping them isolated to the sump as of now?

Any help would be appreciated

they look more like flatworms and not redbugs, can you get a closer picture?

Those are Flatworms, and slight really does not describe that, moderate to wow is more accurate.

It would seem I misidentified. They are definitely flat worms. On a scale from 1 (ehh) - 10 (your screwed) where do you think I'm at?

Haha, not that bad but they can get out of hand if not dealt with. But you say they are not in your display so I assume your wrasses are keeping them in check. If they do start to become numerous in the display I would siphon them out with a piece of airline tubing during a water change. Or you can just have it empty into a filter sock into your sump so you dont lose any water but the flatworms are taken out.

I figured. It looks like it's gonna take awhile to syphon all these little jerks out. Just when I thought everything was getting under control. BAM!

Was thinking about getting another wrasse. Looks like just another excuse to visit the LFS

Beware of jumping fish.

I used a Blue Damsel. You simply not feed for a day or two, than take a turkey baster and start blowing the planaria off a surface into the water column, usually the fish gets the idea quickly.

Never would have thought of the baster. Thanks for all the advice. I'll let you all know how it goes
