Recently cycled a 125g aquarium and added only CUC and Pods, the plan was to do this for a couple of months to help create a better environment for my fish...

The problem is the clean up crew cleaned up... Everything in two days [emoji2367]

Will new algae grow fast enough or will they starve to death?

Will them eating everything stop my rocks from coloring the cool colors?

On a cool note I just seen my starfish grow another leg like he was wolverine from X-Men.

Why is my starfish doing this? He is about to loose another?

I throw in a frozen mussel in my tank about a once a week for my crabs to munch on. You could do that every couple days or so to keep them feed.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that starfish is unlikely to survive long. Even if it survives the injury above, it will starve quite quickly. You have a sand sifting starfish and they require a WELL established aquarium with LOTS of stuff in the sand to eat. They can wipe a sandbed clean in no time and then they starve to death. It is a VERY difficult species in any tank.

Falling apart. Either predator, lack of nutrition or water quality related.
FOR THE CUC, PLACE SOME nORI (seaweed sheets) WEIGHTED DOWN AND THEY WILL FIND IT AND FEAST

In the first post he said he saw his starfish grow a leg. I would think starving too, but do they grow legs if they're starving?

Could be that it had food to start and was able to grow the leg back, but quickly began to starve due to the lack of food in the new system.

OP, try to feed the starfish some mysis shrimp or other food and see if it will take it. You could also try "injecting" food into the sand near it and see if it will go for that. Unfortunately they require a lot of food on a pretty consistent basis.

Thank you, I am headed to buy some now

I feel bad for the little guy now. He came with the CUC I ordered online. He has now completely lost that leg.

Yes, they repair themselves at will
