I think I'm becoming a zoa junkie

My favorite time of day lately has been between 8-10 pm when my moonlights are on. I love some of the 'plain jane' zoas under whites/blues become so vibrant! A colony that seems yellowish-green all over suddenly have a purplish blue mouth and bands on their tentacles.

So far I have

• Armor of the Gods
• Green Bay Packers
• X-Men
• Dragon Eyes
• 4 un-ID'ed colonies I'm still working on.

I don't have a decent camera to capture the colors under the blues. I may try to borrow one. I've spent this week drilling holes into old live rock to plant zoa gardens instead of having frags on the sand bed.

I'm afraid that my new love of zoas is going to drive me to better 'show lighting'.
I just had to come in and geek out about zoas for a second.

I cut the post off the plugs and glue them flat. If your lucky (or things go wrong)they grow on the rocks and you pop the plug off and move it spreading zoa love.
if theyere doing good and looking good. Dont do nothin. spent the $$ on more Zoas.

Yes, I don't even have them glued. I have small holes drilled and the plug pushed in until it's flush.
I have some I am calling 'vampire zoas' because they only seem to open when the moonlights are on. Everything else is open and doing great! Yes. More zoas, please.
