I think its a macro algae?

I was hoping someone would help me identify this odd thing growing on my rock. So far its only on one rock but to me it appears to be some type of macro algae I just have no clue where it came from that rock has been in my tank for over a year. Hard to tell in the pic but in person it is very red and leaf like.

I'd let it grow out a bit to see what form it takes. Hard to tell with just a few sprigs. Maybe some of the macro gurus @Tigahboy could ID it.
