When I first got it, it was just a skinny brown looking piece more like a brown skeleton lol
I just place it in my tank and kinda like "set it and forget it" :p and after 3 weeks I think its doing good and growing, I saw ton of blue tips spout out and the colony branch does look longer than before, what do you all think? picture below.

Before anyone asking for water parameters...there are none because I don't do any tests or dose anything O.O I just do water change lol Yeah, i'm old school fish keeper that only observation my live stock by looking only...no tests whatsoever! (well only do some normal tests when I cycling my tank year ago, after tank cycled the test kits went to trash bin)

I feel good when you have a great out come like yours. :)

That's a sweet guttatus yuki!
Thanks, I never try to get it ID since I'm not intend to keep it in the first place that's reason I was like "set it and for get it" in my first post hehehe. I do feel good when its turn out good and thriving in my system :).

It looks healthy alright. I did the same with a small frag of bird nest, set it and forget it. I too only do water changes (I find it so much easier to maintain this way) and mine is exploding with growth. Here’s a before and after. First pic taken on 9/13 and the second pic this morning.

Can’t wait till it’s as big as yours! :)

If you see a broken pic link let me know. Lately some of my uploads don’t work. Strange

That is a good looking birdsnest!the other pic is a very nice stylophora but I don't think it will turn into a birdsnest

Can I ask what you mean by reseed?

Sure. Most birds nest will grow in a ball format. Depending on the species and growing pattern. When they reach a certain size depending on space, flow, surroundings, etc. They can start growing a dense outer brush....kind of like a bush. The outer side of the bush has all the leaves on it (polyps), but inside the bush is just branches. Some times if they stay in this configuration for extended periods of time the most inner branches will start to die. Due to loss of light and flow. After some time, only the edges will have polyps. Sometimes that will happen after coral goes through what yours has.
