I think my Clam is in a Jam

I think my clam has grown into a bad spot between to high spots on either side of the rock it is attached. I think this is the case because it isn't opening up as much when it was smaller. Any idea's on how i can move it or do i try and somehow remove those high spot's allowing it to grow without obstructions.

I think the point of the above comment is that it's likely the clam isn't getting enough light on your sandbed and you should maybe try just moving the entire rock up to a higher location and see if the clam responds.
