I think my goby killed my toadstool.

I'm a lot happier without the goby in my tank, 6" off the sand bed is not really safe either. My goby spit small rock and sand on live rock that almost half way off the tank height (9 inches), not counting that its often carrying sand and spit sand out in front of power head and the flow just blow the sand everywhere....

Like others have said, leathers are very temperamental. We were sitting at dinner one night and I commented to my daughter how beautiful the leather looked. Took a few bites of food and looked back up and it was completely closed ;Facepalm

They can stay closed for a day or a few weeks. In my experience, it will eventually start to shed and then open back up. This is how my leather normally looks and how it looks right now...

If this guy dies, I'll end up getting something like yours. That looks a lot cooler than my plain brown one.
