So I have two turbos and they both are near the top of the water column hanging weirdly and spewing some bubbles... if I had to guess they def are baby eggs... or something?? Would they both be spawning?? Cause they are... also my skimmer went nuts but I quickly shut it off with any hopes to have them live.. I don’t have any fish so maybe!?

I have had many snails lay eggs over the last 30 years in my freshwater tanks and they have never produced baby snails, (or whatever the technical term is). They usually stick the eggs to the glass and I just end up scrapping them off sooner or later. An LFS once told me that it is impossible for freshwater snails to reproduce in a home aquarium because they need brackish water. That being said, you may have better luck with saltwater. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on the subject will reply.

Good luck. ;Happy

#reefsquad ?? Anyone lol could be nothing...

just started recently to dose esv part 1 to raise my alk.. raised it from 6.8- like 7.7 in a few days...

Here's what mine looked like when they did it. This went on for 30 minutes or more.

Does it look “Smokey?”
Yes it did... it basically was as if my snails released sand or something... lol def think I saw a bunch of little dots .. eggs free floating.. I’llsee eventually! I’m thinking if there’s nothing to eat the eggs / the skimmer is off and whatnot... maybe I’ll get lucky?

Never had any turbos babies but my trochus snails were reproducing well until my dino battle last year. I have a couple of trochus babies right now in my nano.

My turbo and stomatellas always look like they’re breathing out smoke. I have yet to find any snail babies. I’ve even had eggs. But still none. The only snails that seem to reproduce for me are collonista snails.

Here's what they look like at first. This hatch was in my nano

Did you save them?! Did you just let them go free?! I have no fish so was hoping they would be alright and maybe live. I currently had two do this.. same time same top of tank was really crazy. Are they asexual reproducers?

I would say about 1/10 of the ones the size of the first picture make it to the size in the last picture. Once they make it to that size they are in the clear in my tank. The little ones must be getting eaten to some extent (Halichoeres wrasses in my tank) because 90% of the ones that make it to maturity are in my sump. I move them to the DT or give them away when they get about dime sized.

In Trochus I see different sexes....at least it appears some snails emit semen and some eggs. Never documented one snail producing both.

I think my snails really really like each other...
