I think they may be hosting

So I made the cage and boxed them in with my bta and the female is trying to go in but the bts just closes...:/ is that normal at first or no?

Thats a cool idea caging them up like that.. I just might have to try and build one of those, but I think my CF is small enough to escape through the grate..LOL

Anywho... Let it go for now.. The nem has to accept the CF before they fully bond. It will close and open, just be sure the CF is not being too rough to the nem.

The CF Just Lightly Lays Up Against It And It closes. It worked awesome I had to keep putting them back in tell I got all holes covered lol but with in an hour she was trying to get in it

I'm sure it will except them.. it is just going to take time.
MyCF was hosting at the pet store, and when I brought it home... it ran right to the nem and tried to host... that lasted about 15 min and it has not been back since. The nem was cool with it, the CF was pushed away from the nem by my six line wrasse.. not the CF hosts the upper top corner of the tank.
