so this morning I talked to Tahoe61 of what I believed may have been ICK. I thought I had seen spots on my royal gramma. He started stayed hidden and last night didn't eat. This morning he was at bottom trying to eat off the sand. Then I noticed a chromis doing the sMe and next to the gramma ( normally the chromis are in a school. I QT them added some ICH X to treat ICH and any bacterial well now they look like this.
I'm also missing a strawberry dottyback that didn't come out to eat
What's going on water parameters are good everyone else looks good haven't lost any crabs or anything
Help

Could be Velvet, which is a much faster progressing condition. Same treatment for both Ich and Velvet.

Temp is 77.8
Salinity is 1.025
Ammonia, nitrate and nitrite are all 0
Ph is 8.2
Just checked they're both gone it looks like

Thanks everyone

I had Velvet take an entire tank in a couple days. I am currently treating a fallow tank, which will remain that way for another month and a half. The velvet cycle is about 76 days I am going a 80. I am also researching the use of UV treatment to keep the levels lower and of course setting up a QT. Sorry about the fish.

How do know velvet? I can't find the dottyback saw him this morning and the top of his head looking funny but by the time I could get a good look he was gone. ( meaning hiding) I already had half the tank apart ( rock wise) going after the gramma. The chromis showed nothing at all no spots no nothing.
The royal a very few spots mostly around the top of his head and it looked like one in his eye. ( I'll look after the wife leaves later)
So I don't know it was quick maybe two days

Not sure about yours, but with mine they had what looked like white dust. From happy fish to dead fish was a little over a day. I treated the tank and let is sit for a week, then added another fish. From Happy to dead in a couple days. Everything I have read in Articles section of R2R, I believe I have Velvet. The protozoa have a cycle and that can take 76 day of adding nothing new to the tank for is to completely cycle and basically starve. If it is ick, fish can live quite a while and can be treated with a little better success.
