Yes I’m pretty sure I did as it melted away and then I threw it away but then this happened. Can you see what doesn’t belong on that Zoa colony

GSP... LOL yup just like xenia it only takes one... i happen to like them so.... i don't consider them a nuisance like others do... however you may want to remove it from your zoas so it doesn't compete for space

A quick dab of superglue should smother this one pretty good. Personally, I like my gsp, but after it starts invading other corals.... it’s war!!!

I liked it when I bought it but it died! I wanna keep it! How would I go about doing that?

Oh!!! GSP is the easiest thing in the world!! If the zoas are doing great, so will the gsp don’t worry about it. Feed some reefroids gently maybe once a week for an extra boost and you’re good to go!

Will it take over my Zoa? Should I wait and try and frag off part of that rock? I like my Zoa too

You can if you want to. GSP forms a thick mat over the rock. My suggestion is to wait to frag the zoas until you’ve got a couple of polyps of GSP, just to make sure it’s doing well. You could simply remove like the 3 zoas closest to it which would provide it a little more light

I just hack em off with a single edge razor or scalpel. Just cut them off at the base, don’t slice through the polyps. Think like you’re sliding the razor between them and the rock and the suckers pop right off. Superglue them to a frag plug/rubble/anything and you’re good to go!

How long can they stay out of water? Should I buy some type of coral dip before I do this? What do you recommend?
