I am a cheap reefer. I got my 75 gallon of Craiglist for $150, use a 20 long for sump, 10 gallon tank for my ATO water, use a LED grow light for chaeto. I did spend nearly $1000 for my light, got a good return pump and skimmer but on sale at BRS. I keep mostly mushrooms, softies and a few LPS so I don't mess with dosing pumps, the APEX, the reactors, etc.

I was a cheap my whole time in the hobby, 10 tanks and 15 years later, this will be my last one. I want it to be the biggest and nicest yet.

I’ve never ran a sump. I want a rimless tank over 200g (so it could beat my biggest tank I’ve ever had, 180 FOWLR).

I tried not to go over board, but it’s not cheap in the end. And the APEX! lol! I’ve been on the fence for that for weeks! Debating its $800 added cost to my project! I want to try it, but the negative feed back I read leaves me questioning.
