I thought these were new Hammer heads

I thought my hammer was getting new heads but now I fear the worst. Can anyone ID for me.

I had one die but what is on there spirals. And is open on one end. I fear it’s snails.

Vermetid snails, scrape them off and make sure to get the worm out.

Operation was not successful. There were nine of them in total and the only remaining hammer head cracked in half as I was removing them. Wanted to just frag the single head of the hammer but the snails made it impossible.

Sorry, had one start on my hammer but I got it off in time

I used my coral clippers and got a couple of the worms but there were too many right by the head of the coral.

I had that frag in the middle of my sand bed and it was never touching any rocks. What is the chance more will show up?

That’s either a tiny Hammer or the biggest snail tube I’ve ever seen!!!

The size reminds me of a feather worm tube.

Yes, they did seem to have those.

They were huge, about the size of a quarter.

Not sure lol. I just scraped them off which was harder than I thought it would be. I did find the worms inside and made sure I got all those pieces out. Rinsed the hammer and dipped it. It’s back in the tank doing good. I do know they will mess up a tank tho. I bought a used 200gallon ( our fowlr system) that had them everywhere. In the return lines, the sump , pumps I mean everywhere. It was no easy task at all to remove and clean the whole system.
