Found this guy as I was moving sand around...with my hand Rearranging a few corals.
Never actually touched one before lol but it didn’t hurt, I wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t see him writhing on the sand.
He’s over an inch long, that’s a medium glove he’s sitting on (the one I was wearing while handing said corals)

For some reason I thought it would hurt...or I would at least feel it lol

You won’t feel it. Even if it’s a big guy. The issue is the majority of people have allergic reactions to them. So there is swelling, bleeding, peeling skin. Not pretty if you find a 6/7 incher. Luckily I’m not allergic so just scrape the bristles out and it’s all good.

My wife has pretty bad reactions to bristle worms, her hand swells a little. Nothing a vinegar dip doesn’t solve. I’ve gotten stuck by them I don’t have quite the reaction. I still don’t like it we went and bought reusable arm length gloves for extra protection.
