Sometime when I WC I just use a 5/8 inch hose siphon to get into tight places. It works great but it creates a powerful suction. On Monday I was trying to get underneath my elegance and accidentally got a couple tentacles sucked into my line. A couple may or nay not have gotten pulled off, but made my otherwise happy elegance pretty mad. It retracted for a day or so but then opened up as normal albeit with its tentacles retracted. It’s still in this condition. I know these things can be temperamental, but I also know it’s not good for their tentacles to be retracted for an extended period of time. Is there anything I can do other than wait and hope for the best? Any idea of how long it takes the coral to recover from something similar like nipping?

So it’s been about 5 weeks since this incident and my elegance looks great but the tentacles are STILL retracted. I’ve tried restore and aminos but nothing makes a difference. Since it’s tentacles are always retracted he will not eat since it can’t grab any food. It used to eat like a hoss. Other that the tentacles it looks perfectly normal but I’m wondering if they will ever come back. Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
