Found this rock on the beach a while ago and it has just been sitting around. Now I have a place in my tank to use it. So do I boil it or cook it in the ove or...?

HI,NO....NEVER ...boil or cook rock..!!! bleach soak 3days ,rinse with hose, soak in fresh 1 day, rinse w hose, let dry rinse again, let dry in sun 3 days..
boiling or baking rock can be deadly to you and household. ;)

so FINALLY got around to getting this rock ready for my tank. I used 1/4 cup bleach to 1/2 gal water. does that seem like enough? I will follow what was said above.

process was bleach 3 days fresh water, rinse, fresh water 1 day, rinse, dry in the sun 3 days. So after I will soak in tank water for a week. should I add microbacter or sewer sauce too or just tank water?

What planet is this rock from that it needs to be sterilized to this extend? Seems way excessive, in my opinion. It’s been sitting dry. It’s dead. Just rinse it in water and call it a day.

Bleach soak and rinse done. gonna use tank water from a water change to soak it. should I add microbacter or something?

It's just gonna be added to an existing tank right? No need for Microbacter or anything.

^^^This^^^

I think many people go way overboard cleaning rocks. This one was found at a beach? I'd rinse it it my utility sink and put it in the tank,

FWIW - I have a pile of rocks (probably #300 or so) sitting in a corner of my veggie beds. When I need another piece, I go out, knock off the weeds, rinse it, and put it in the tank. Never had a problem doing it that way.
