It could be anything. Small ebay lights, Amazon, diy ones anything. I even set my phone over the tank and turn the flash on and get a really nice shimmer. I can pick up used kessils for about 200 bucks but that's to much especially since I need three of them to cover my 6' tank.

No real reason except aesthetic. No real function. Just get bored and want to try new things. What options do I have.

Current set up SB reef lights. Added some t5 sometime ago because of my tank boredom and here I am again.

To add to @Crabs Mcjones I would not use those linked as full lighting, but just to add the shimmer. a Kessel A360 is 90 watts. The linked item is 16 watts. the $79 item they also list is only 30 watts. It will give shimmer but not be enough IMO to support sustained growth by itself.

@DancingShark said above that they would have no real function other than shimmer :) otherwise I would have said kessil all the way ;)

Point a powerhead up closer to the surface and get more ripple in the water. ;)

I need more ripples? :eek::)

Orphek light bar w/ narrow optics..You can pick the shimmer color.. ;)
Have them skip every other led (o Ohm jumper)...and use 60 degree lenses..
Need to verify driver minimum voltage though..

Soooooooo I went and picked up the kessils.

Cheap LED's certainly have their place but when it's your main display it's worth paying extra for proven aquarium lights that not only grow corals well but makes the tank look good overall. The kessils are hard to beat and I couldn't be happier with two 360's and 4 T5 bulbs over my 90. Your video is a great representation of the "life" a good light can add to a tank.

Thanks guys. The tank really seem to have taken a new life as Mike said.
