I want to get a puffer, but I'm not sure if my current fish are safe to be with one. Clown fish, neon dottyback, green cromis, watchman goby, long tentacle anemone.

Try a tobby puffer. Mine did ok with soft corals. In the short 5 months my tank was up it was fine didn't have hard corals.

I say this without any knowledge of the personalities, but if they're all about the same size, they will be unlikely to eat each other. I've had puffers in a brackish tank, and the only fish they harassed were the feeder guppies (and by harassed, I mean eaten).

dogface puffer won't bother any of them. They are extremely doscile.

Dog face or a sharp nose puffer should do fine. Just depends on tank size dogface will obviously require more room.

I wouldn’t get a big puffer like a dog face or porcupine as the little fish may get eaten! Some of the smaller species like valentini, blue spotted, or sharp nose are good! They are not compatible with anemones, corals, or inverts though. How big is the tank? As a general rule if the fish can fit in a puffers mouth he may try and eat it.

What size tank do you have. I have a Valentini and porcupine puffer in a 210 gallon and they don’t bother any of the other fish
