Hello everyone, does ANYONE know how to use the Icecap 4K Gyre and Apex? I do have a VDM module. I had it configured. But I do not know what I am doing incorrect in regards to having it operated via the APEX controller instead of the HYdros App. Are there any schemes out there?

You control the gyre with the IC2GC, not the apex. If you want an event from the apex, like feed mode, to affect the gyres, you use your 0-10v output from the apex, into the IC2GC, and map that voltage to initiate feed mode on the gyres too.

Gyre > Hydros > Apex

Not Gyre > Apex, those days are long gone.

Ok...so I am a little confused and thank you for responding...so what you are saying, this is NOT like the EcoTech (WXM Module), where you can download schemes and control the pumps from the Apex Fusion Controller? Something like ONE Stop Shop...I only ask because I thought it had the ability to do more than "Feed Mood"...or maybe I do not understand what "Feed Mood" is

yeah multiple steps and not a one-stop. you can create modes and assign voltages

and then send that voltage from the apex to trigger the modes so yeah you can have more than feed mode but you have to create that in hydros then you can call it through apex

The controller is the IC2GC, not the apex (like the WXM functionality). There is no more native gyre support on the apex platform. At best we had the "soon" promised ICV6 support with maxspect gyres and 2016 apex, but like most things marketing promised never materialized over three years later.

WOW...well that is a disappointment from my end...thx again for the reply...seriously thought it could be controlled completely through APEX....waste of $$ from my perspective, especially since I invested in the Apex controller brand....

Thx man for sending me this...I might go through it on Saturday...am a little disappointed though to be honest....

I wouldn't be so down. Once I was wanting every single thing through the controller, but keeping some things segregated, with the ability to influence them externally (which the IC2GC does), is a better setup IMO.

Not trying to hijack this thread but I have a question along these lines. I have 2 4K gyres and 2 2k gyres running on my tank which means I have 2 wireless controllers. I followed the directions on Coralifes YouTube page for feed modes. I am able to get one to shut off upon my auto feeders activating or the press of a feed mode button. How ever I am unable to get the second controller to respond the same way. Am I incorrect in think that since there are 2 3.5mm jacks I should be able to control both controllers? Anyone have any success with 2 controllers? Any help would be appreciated.

Funny even CoralVue customer service rep didn't know you can create other flows that can be controlled by apex. The directions are hard to follow however on the link you provided that CoralVue wrote. Frustrating I had it working but now I can't figure how to make it work.
