Ice cap battery - uses?

So when setting up - i bought two XF280 gyres.
And i also bought the Ice Cap battery backup.

Turns out - the ice cap is not compatible with the gyres.

What can i use that batter backup for then?

I have two MP40s
and two Varios S8 return pumps

Would that work with any of those?
if not - am i SOL?

So icecap battery is 12v, yeah? Same as Ecotech version. So it would be quite easy to get it to work!!

This is the wire you would need to connect to Vortechs. You would need to splice it into the wire that came with your battery backup.

Fused VorTech Battery Backup Cable

Used as a replacement part or to link more than one battery backup in parallel to extend backup time. The length of the cable is 8ft long.

I’ve made a few voltage indicators for the Ecotech ones, so am rather familiar with them.

Yeah. If you don’t want to solder, send me the icecap cable and a few bucks for the Ecotech one and I can send you back the completed one.

Oh sure you can... I just prefer soldered and heat shrink wrapped connections haha. Especially if near salt water, which is nasty corrosive. I already have probably 20 of those Ecotech cables, so figured I’d offer.

Evidently - its not compatible with the XF280 Gyres... it works fine with the smaller ones.

If you bought the backup new, it comes with plug adapters to work with Vortechs. I've had mine set up for a couple years, it's pretty straightforward.

mine are XF280s. unfortunately they wont work.
