Ice cap gyre 2k Q

I purchased an ice cap 2k gyre with a battery backup.My Q is that I had set up a really good feed mode with my apex and a alternative reef box.Becaise the gyre is hooked up to the battery backup is there any way to turn it off with my apex?

I don't use the Apex controller.

No way to turn it off that I know of unless you somehow are able to put an inline switch between the battery power cables and the gyre to cause it to open when feed mode is on...
