Considering Ice Cap 2k Gyre and Hyrdos Wave Engine if near future. 120g tank removed from upstairs after kitchen remodel. Now using 30G and 40g breeder tanks. Plz rely your thoughts

Very happy with my Wave Engine so far. I am running two Octo pulse pumps and two maxspect 350's. I feel I have the pump flow that is best for my tank and love the programming options.

A 2000gph gyre pump will be way overkill for a 30-40 gallon tank, if that's what you're asking.

I had an Icecap 3k in my 40 breeder. Set at 40% continuous flow. Worked well for the tank size. I even had to add a couple Tunze 6015 to eliminate dead spots due to too much rock.
