Ice Fire Echinata ?

Reputable person or not, It just looks like a small branching tenius. I have seen reputable people sell knock offs as well; sometimes people think they can hide behind their name :(

Trust me guys this is an ice fire. It came from a very respectable guy on this forum and i know it is not fake. It is no doubt an ice fire and i just want to know why it so bushy compare to other that i have seen. Maybe it grows that way because it under very high flow. When i had it in my other tank it had really no polyp extensions.

It doesnt even look like a enchanta.

+1 I told him a while back it looked like a tenius frag due to its hairyness and the fact that the tips dont look like icefire tips.

Not a Echinata, I can guarantee that. Its a Tenuis for sure.

I cant say that reputable vendors hide behind there names but I can say that its possible that the wrong coral was shipped to you or the vendor was mistaken. Either way if you paid IceFire prices for it then you should contact the vendor to get the issue straightened out.

Here's mine. I think this is what it should like. I hope so anyway.

:(

Maybe i got played too.

My Tenius....I mean Enchinata must have come from the same place......thats why I hate the marketing behind these names.

I will just have to wait and let it grow out to see if it the real deal. I have faith in the person i traded with that it the real deal. At one point or another i am sure you guys have traded or brought from this fellow reefer. Trust is a very important factor in this hobby. I have doubted one person i traded with and i swear it did not look anything like the FlameThrower but it sure was. I don't mistaken chalice but i did that time. I am not one to jump to conclusion anymore. I will move it back into my other tank and see if it grows differently.

i'm gonna reserve my judgment for now...i can see where it does look like an icefire and where it doesnt but for right now i think its too small to judge...

Exactly. At first I said no way, but the truth is it will reveal itself in no time. Its still to small to say just yet. Give it a month or 2 and you will know without a doubt if its an icefire.
