Ice queen zoas price right?

Hello fellow reefers and good morning here for California. I have a quick question for you zoa/paly experts. I’ve been getting into buying some real nice zoa/palys. Most I can find info and price range somewhere online or here. I came across some Ice queen zoas priced at $249 for 2 polyps. I tried to do some research on the zoas but came up almost empty. Are they worth the $125 a polyp or are these just over priced? I know some stores love to over price.

I'm no zoa expert but there's no way I would pay that much for any zoa.

Much like anything else, corals are worth what people are willing to pay for them. Me personally, I'm not willing to pay more than $100 for any "frag". Now a small colony or something like a scholy, sure maybe I'd pay that much. But the problem with coral prices is that there are people willing to pay these absurdly high prices for them. As long as people continue to do that, vendors will price them accordingly.

It's sort of like the video game community complaining about pre-orders or microtransactions in games. As much as the community complains about these things, people still pre-order games and still pay for microtransactions. So video game developers will continue to abuse that fact.

The most I would ever pay for a zoa frag would be $100 max and it would have to be a reallllly nice one with more then 3 polyps.

The highest I've paid for a zoa has been like $45-50.

But to answer your question it comes down to if you like it enough to think it's worth it. Personally, after looking up some pics on them, I wouldn't spend that much.

Nah. Don’t buy into the hype. Just like little shops of horrors are now a premium per polyp. And worst case buying one polyp at that price and watching it melt. This is why people will buy frags with multiple on them.
