How is everybody enjoying the 4K? Currently using sine wave with one minute cycle. Anyone mounting there’s vertically? I have a 180 gallon with a pair of 4K, one on each end.

My first 4k will be delivered next week! I have a 150 with a single center overflow. For now, with just 1, I will put horizontal on one end...but my thought when I get the 2nd is to have one vertically on both back corners. Running one in forward while the other is in reverse and the gyre direction every couple minutes. Have you tried this?
When vertical do they stir up to much of yhe sandbed....or not enough?

I played around with a few different configurations including the back wall and vertical but I ended up leaving mine horizontal and basically keeping a one minute sine wave cycle on opposite ends of a tank so that one ramps up while the other is ramping down. I have the pump on my right hand side up side down so it causes a little more surface agitation and that is working really well for me. Does not affect the longevity or function.

I did try them with reverse but it ended up kicking up a lot of sand
