Icecap 660/T5 combo, good, bad or ugly?

I have two icecap 660 ballasts. I am looking for experiences people have had using them for t5 ho? In particular par output, bulb life and cooling the bulbs on diy fixtures. I have a 120 gallon tank (4'x2'x2')and want to do 6-8 bulbs but not sure.

The ice cap 660 over drives the bulbs so expect life of the bulbs to be shorter. I've heard 9 months at the most.
