I have the Icecap medium scrubber, coralvue states to hook up the skimmer to the output on the scrubber, they aren't very clear as to which port is considered the output. On coravlues bag of Co2 media, they depict the skimmer as hooked up to the port with the downspout that lead to the empty space under the media. The media will exhaust from the top down.
My confusion lies in the method of keeping water in the bottom of the reactor. As stated above any water added to the bottom would simply evaporate into the skimmer veturi. I currently have this system set up to fully recirculate with a FixofHex 3Dprint skimmer cup ring.
What I'm observing is moisture from the skimmer ( yes I've tried a poly/RO canister prefilter ) makes its way back into the main chamber of the Co2 scrubber and appears to be over saturating the media.
My question is what's the functional dynamics that may occur in the two scenarios where the skimmer is hooked up to one port or the other. ??
