Hello

So I have set up 2 IceCap dosing pumps. calc is the only one on a 30 min delay. my question is when do they dose ?

Not sure I understand. I have set mine up to dose 30Ml every 12 hours. I guess my question is when is the start time. Dam i think I'm more confused now

There's no specified time when they will begin, as far as I know. I have four of those pumps running over here, and they stick to their schedules nicely, but I can't say "at 9 a.m. it will dose Alkalinity".

Sure. Let me find my blog. This dosing is for a 60g frag system that is stand alone:

"
Water parameters are doing quite well these days in this tank. I seem to have the dosers dialed into a good spot.

  • Alkalinity 15ml every 8 hours (45ml per day)
  • Calcium 12ml every 8 hours (36ml per day)
  • Magnesium 10ml every 8 hours (30ml per day)
"

And then on the 400g system, I'm doing Magnesium 99ml at a time every 8 hours until the 1-gallon of solution is consumed. This takes about a week, then it's empty for a couple of weeks before I mix up another batch of Magnesium Pronto. I need to do that tonight actually.

If you have it set to dose every 8 hours, I believe it will start dosing 8 hours from when you set the dose or dosing frequency. I have mine set to dose every hour and when I change the dose, it won't dose until one hour after I make the change. Same as if I unplug it and replug it in.
