Icecap gyre is blowing sediment into rocks

My gyre is on the left side of the tank and fluctuates between 10-60%:

The rocks on the right side stay super clean, but the rocks under the gyre are daily collecting a lot of detritus, which blows into them.

I know I need to add a power head somewhere to blow off the rocks under the gyre. Any ideas about where I should put it?

Will that gyre reverse and blow the rocks clean instead? I have the Jebao version and it switches directions and changes speeds based on which way it's blowing.

This is where the value of having a gyre on the opposite side of the tank comes into play. It's kind of like a river. Flow only in one direction and obstructions can build a sandbar. If you could revers the flow, it would wash the sandbar away because the flow dynamics would be different.

So you think I need another one? I’m trying the alternating gyre function right now and I’m underwhelmed.

That would be my preference. If you have an old power head you can put it on the far side for now and plug it in to run manually for 10 or 15 minutes when you see a buildup. That could clear it.
