Looking for your reviews of the stirrer. Looking to purchase one here very soon and wanted to know if anyone has had any issues with them, or made any modifications to make them better.

I can't speak for the IceCap but I love my Reef Octopus.
 
I just bought one and hope to set it up today.
Did you see this article about it in Reef Builders?

They address a couple things that are a concern to me....
1) the output line is just a straight 0.25" fitting that has potential to get clogged. They glued a 90-degree elbow in hopes to prevent that. I'm considering going so far as drilling for another safety output above the existing one. It all depends on what kind of fittings I can find locally....
2) the power input to the stirrer is an unshielded non-waterproof connection at the bottom of the unit. Over time it has the potential to get corroded. I'll probably goop some silicone around the plug making it semi-permanent.
